Penker Wirt
The inn directly on the cycle path (R8 & Alpe-Adria cycle path) where cooking is still done the way we learned it from grandma. Classics such as onion roast, roast pork, Carinthian cheese noodles and meat noodles are lovingly prepared with regional foods and lots of love. Our insider tip: the homemade desserts and cakes are always worth a visit.
Kitchen: 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Closing days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Welcome to the Penker Wirt - the traditional Carinthian inn that has been delighting locals and travellers for decades!
Located directly on the Mölltal main road, a lot has happened here. Erika and Günther Wiesflecker have been carrying on the tradition since 1998, and now the second generation of the family is already cooking: daughter Corinna and son-in-law Hannes Oberrainer. In 2017, they took over the WirtsHaus and set new standards with an extensive renovation from May to December 2021: WirtsHaus 2.0! Here you can expect generous comfort in a modern ambience and regional cuisine. One of the highlights is the newly designed ‘Bank’ guest room - in the place where the Penk bank used to be. With a spacious double bed and a comfortable pull-out sofa bed, it offers space for up to four guests. A bright entrance area with cloakroom and a modern shower room round off the offer.
Discover how tradition and modernity come together harmoniously at the Penker Wirt! Visit us and be enchanted by the unique atmosphere and warm hospitality.
