Therme St. Kathrein – Family time, water experience & relaxation
The Therme St. Kathrein combines bathing enjoyment for the whole family with soothing relaxation in the midst of the Carinthian Nock Mountains. 100% thermal water in all indoor and outdoor pools, diverse water worlds, and spacious relaxation and sauna areas create space for shared experiences and personal time out.
Water fun for the whole family
With the largest water area of all Carinthian spas, the Therme St. Kathrein offers plenty of space for swimming, splashing, and enjoying. A 25-meter wellness pool, an adventure family pool, and a baby pool, as well as bubble loungers and a wild water channel ensure variety for young and old. The spacious outdoor area with connecting pools invites movement in the open air. In the refreshing 25-meter outdoor pool, swimming enthusiasts can do their laps, while in the second outdoor pool, various water attractions provide additional bathing fun, especially during the summer months. For even more action, there is the 86-meter long Nockberg slide – a special highlight for little and big water lovers. Our activity program with aqua fitness for adults and children, led by our certified trainers, also provides movement and fun.
Family tip: Children up to 5.99 years swim for free!
Sauna landscape Nockberge – Calm & new energy
The sauna landscape offers plenty of space for warmth, calmness, and regeneration: The event sauna arena Nockberge (Finnish sauna), a Finnish indoor sauna, a Finnish outdoor sauna with sauna garden, a bio herbal sauna, and a steam bath provide a variety of sauna experiences. Whirlpool, cold-warm foot baths, and infrared loungers complement the offering. In the garnet relaxation lounge with a fireplace and tea bar, you can relax wonderfully between sauna sessions and recharge your energy. Daily sauna infusions by experienced sauna masters provide special moments of well-being. The entire sauna area is adults only and reserved for guests aged 16 and older.
Event tip: Every first Friday of the month from October to March, the long sauna night invites you to an extended sauna experience until 11:00 p.m.
Relaxing with a view of the Carinthian Nock Mountains
Generous retreats enhance the spa experience: A large larch relaxation room with a panoramic terrace and breathtaking views of the Carinthian Nock Mountains, as well as two additional larch rooms with larch loungers and water beds, offer plenty of space to unwind and enjoy. In the summer months, the expansive lawn with free sunbeds and umbrellas also invites relaxation.
The offering is complemented by the health center NockMED with massages, medical therapies, and treatments, as well as the beauty studio Michaela – for health and your individual well-being.
Whether water fun, sports, health, family time, or sauna experience: The Therme St. Kathrein offers a diverse spa experience for all generations – amidst the Carinthian Nock Mountains at over 1,000 m above sea level in the UNESCO Biosphere Park community of Bad Kleinkirchheim.
The water paradise in the fun area is perfect for families.
While younger kids can splash about in the clearly visible children’s pool,
parents can relax, or play and swim with the older ones.
The fun pool leads into the outdoor area with a thermal pool measuring almost 600 m²
and the new Carinthian attraction – the 86 m high Nockberge slide.
