Next to the Church of San Procolo stands an underground museum, which traces the history of the church: a comprehensive multimedia journey through 1,500 years of history. Four installations vividly illustrate the periods of late antiquity, the early Middle Ages, the Gothic era and the time of the plague. The famous frescoes are also duly showcased within the museum exhibition: discovered around 1920 and dating from various periods between the 8th, 9th and 11th centuries AD, they are among the oldest in the German-speaking world. The museum tour also touches on themes such as anthropology and art history through the Gothic frescoes, which were removed from the church walls around 1920.

Museum: The path outside the museum has a gradient of approximately 8%, so we advise visitors with mobility difficulties to park in the immediate vicinity of the main entrance. A long stairlift connects the entrance to the ticket office and the underground exhibition space, where there is also a disabled toilet.
Church of San Procolo: Directly opposite the Museum is the access path (gravel) to the nearby Church of San Procolo. There is a 10 cm step both near the gate and at the church door.
