Ritten Arena - Ice Ring - Ice Hall
Foto (18)
The pride of Ritten is the world's fastest outdoor ice skating rink, the Ritten Ice Ring. Here, not only do international speed skating stars set their records, but visitors of all ages also enjoy public skating with panoramic views. The accessible indoor ice rink next door also offers fun for the whole family when ice conditions are poor.
The so-called "Ice Glider" for wheelchair users allows families and their relatives with disabilities to spend a few happy hours together enjoying sporting activities at the Ritten Arena. This inclusive Ice Glider program is also of interest to school classes, residents of care homes or group homes for people with disabilities, and senior citizens. Registration the day before is appreciated, but not required!
Rating: Very high accessibility
The Ritten Arena offers ample parking, including two reserved spaces for guests with disabilities. The ticket office is easily accessible, leading to the ice rink or the indoor ice arena. An accessible restroom is located on the ground floor, and the bar and restaurant are easily reached by elevator. The grandstand is step-free from the ticket office and features reserved seating for visitors with disabilities. An accessible restroom is also available in the grandstand.
Accessible ice skating at the Ritten Arena is made possible by the LUGICAP ICE PERF "ice glider." This device is suitable for manual wheelchairs with a width of 42 to 60 cm and has a maximum weight capacity of 130 kg.
Note: There are several spacious parking areas. A reserved parking space is located near the main entrance. The second reserved parking space is near the bar/grandstand entrance.
