The Talschlusshütte (Rifugio Fondovalle) is located in Sexten, nestled in the fascinating alpine scenery at the end of the Fiscalina Valley, at the gateway to the Three Peaks Nature Park. Surrounded by majestic rock faces and pristine forests, this historic refuge in traditional Tyrolean style is a popular excursion destination and the ideal starting point for numerous hikes in the Sexten Dolomites.

The property welcomes its guests with a large, sunny wooden terrace protected by large umbrellas, and a large children's playground surrounded by greenery, featuring wooden play structures and a safety fall-protection floor. The kitchen offers a carefully selected range of South Tyrolean specialties, Mediterranean dishes, and traditional peasant food made from local ingredients and fresh herbs from the adjacent herb garden. Upon request, the kitchen also accommodates specific dietary needs, offering gluten- or lactose-free alternatives.

The refuge can be reached by leaving your car in the paid public parking lot at the end of the driveway in the Fiscalina Valley (near the Hotel Dolomitenhof), where there are also three reserved and marked parking spaces for people with disabilities. From there, a forest path leads to the hut: the walk takes about 30 minutes on foot and runs on an unpaved, firmly rolled natural gravel surface (not asphalted). The path is very wide and gently sloping; it is perfectly suitable for strollers and accessible to wheelchair users, although it requires some physical effort, an assistant, or a wheelchair with an auxiliary motor drive. Alternatively, the route can also be covered by a horse-drawn carriage. Persons in possession of a disabled parking card can apply for a special permit to access the refuge with their own car by contacting the Innichen Forest Station (Tel. 0474 913269).

Upon arrival, the large wooden terrace is on the same level as the footpath and is completely barrier-free, guaranteeing an optimal maneuvering area and comfortably accessible under-table clearance. The indoor dining room and the bar are also accessible to everyone. The accessible restroom for people with disabilities is located on the same level as the dining room in a separate, easily reachable room.
