Planetarium - South Tyrol
The South Tyrol Planetarium is a showcase of technology dedicated to exploring the universe. With the help of 3D glasses, visitors can travel through space and time, allowing them to appreciate the majesty of the cosmos.
The planetarium, together with the “Max Valier” Astronomical Observatory and the “Path of the Planets”, completes the Val d’Ega’s range of astronomical attractions.
Rating: Very high accessibility
The South Tyrol Planetarium is located in the centre of the village of San Valentino in Campo (Gummer) and is easily accessible by car or public transport. It has a large car park with a disabled parking space, and a bus stop just a few dozen metres from the main entrance. The path leading from the car park to the Planetarium includes a section of cobblestones with a 12% gradient: to avoid the climb, you can, if necessary, stop briefly in your car in the square in front of the entrance. The ticket office, shop and entrance to the dome for screenings are located on the ground floor. The Planetarium dome has 53 seats and 2 spaces for wheelchair users: for this reason, it is advisable to book tickets in advance. 3D glasses are provided for certain specific screenings. Also on the ground floor is an exhibition area where temporary exhibitions are held.
The spacious and well-equipped toilet facilities are located on the upper floor and are easily accessible via a modern lift. From here, you can also view the dome from above and admire the surrounding Alpine landscape through the large windows, including the “Max Valier” Astronomical Observatory, situated approximately 4 kilometres from the South Tyrol Planetarium in Obergummer.

Note: The Planetarium has a large car park with a space reserved for disabled visitors. There is also a public transport stop nearby.
To avoid a section of the route with a 12% gradient, you can, if necessary, stop briefly in your car in the square in front of the Planetarium entrance.
