Right in the heart of the Dobratsch Nature Park... ... is our mountain restaurant, the ALMGASTHOF ROSSTRATTEN, also known as the "Rosstrattenstüberl". The Rosstrattenstüberl offers everything that makes a skiing or hiking heart beat faster when it comes to culinary catering. We offer traditional Carinthian cuisine, hearty beef soups, delicious salads, meat and pasta dishes (roast venison, Carinthian Kasnudel) and seasonal specialties. Since the beginning of 2022 we have also been offering PIZZA from our new wood-fired pizza oven. There are over 20 different pizzas to choose from... Delicious, homemade strudel (apple strudel, curd cheese strudel) complete the culinary offer. Make yourself really comfortable with us and enjoy Carinthian cuisine with a fantastic mountain panorama. Our restaurant is divided into two cozy rooms, the Zirbenstubn on the ground floor and the Alpenstube in our newly restored area with a great view. We are located at the last car park on the Villach Alpenstraße and are therefore also a popular destination for tour groups arriving by bus (please Reservations). So that our little ones don't get bored while the adults take a break from their hikes, a children's adventure playground has been set up on the Rosstratte. Here the children also learn a lot about nature and the animals of the Dobratsch Nature Park.
Refreshment stop with the best panorama of the Karawanken and the Julian Alps.
