Following the official launch of the Interreg PLACES project in February, the Tarvisio Tourist Board, in collaboration with the Municipality of Tarvisio, owner of the municipal museums, has been working intensively on planning the activities to be carried out as part of the project.
Several working meetings have been held over the past few months, resulting in three key measures:
- Development of a PEBA (plan for the elimination of architectural barriers) for the Cave del Predil museum site to improve its accessibility;
- Development of a multimedia, barrier-free and inclusive offering to expand the exhibitions at the Customs Museum (Museo della Dogana);
- Implementation of a ‘Silent Play’ in the city centre of Tarvisio, with the aim of transforming the centre into an open cultural museum and making the tangible and intangible heritage of the community visible.
These measures are part of PLACES’ vision to promote inclusive and culture-based tourism that focuses on people and the region.
