In addition to the pilot site at Franzensfeste Fortress in South Tyrol, where independent L. is creating an immersive 3D audio experience for all visitors, the South Tyrolean Competence Centre for Accessibility has also launched the new barrier-free PLACES themed trail in the immediate vicinity.
The barrier-free cycle path from Bressanone to Novacella along the banks of the Eisack river will become an exciting themed route for everyone, especially families with small children and pushchairs, the elderly and people with disabilities! To ensure an authentic portrayal of the locations, with their unique landscapes and cultures, the local population will be actively involved in creating content for the new PLACES themed route. A workshop and participatory interviews are also planned.
The new PLACES theme trail will include around 10 themed information points (POIs with QR codes) in the style of a narrative podcast (Silent Play) and can therefore be easily accessed using your own smartphone.

On 26 May, the partners involved in the project and the Italian Popular University UPAD in Bressanone, which is responsible for its implementation, met to carry out an inspection, define the main themes and discuss the details of implementation.
The new PLACES themed route should be completed and presented to the public in about a year’s time.
