The two-year PLACES Promoting Landscape, Accessibility and Culture for Experiential and Sustainable tourism project is now in its ninth month.<\/p>\n\n

La Piccionaia is the lead partner of a consortium of six Italian and Austrian organisations (Independent L. Onlus soc. coop., Consorzio di Promozione Turistica del Tarvisiano, di Sella Nevea e di passo Pramollo, Comune di Vicenza, Landesmuseum f\u00fcr K\u00e4rnten and K\u00e4rnten Werbung).<\/p>\n\n

In addition to managing the project as a whole, La Piccionaia is responsible for Work Package 2, which concerns the promotion and enhancement of cultural and natural tourism from an accessible and inclusive perspective.<\/p>\n\n

During the first few months of the project, Carlo Presotto and Paola Rossi have been busy creating new inclusive, accessible multimedia and sensory experiences tailored to the tourist sites involved in the project: two museum itineraries in the Naturalistic and Archaeological Museum of Vicenza and the K\u00e4rtern Museum in Klagenfurt, and three participatory Silent Plays, created in collaboration with the local communities of Vicenza (around Lake Fimon), Klagenfurt (city centre) and Tarvisio. La Piccionaia also held a training session for representatives of the UPAD Foundation, the first step in the development of a podcast designed to accompany the walk along the Isarco River, from Bressanone to Novacella. <\/p>\n\n
