Gate of Democracy

The Hall of Coats of Arms is not merely a historical place. In the spring of 2025, a new installation was added: the “Gate of Democracy”. It is a route designed especially for younger generations, making the history of democracy accessible through multimedia technology. An app allows visitors to explore the paintings and figures through augmented reality: animated images, reconstructions, comparisons between past and present. Visitors can see how the spaces originally appeared or view the entire Landhaus as a three-dimensional model. It is an immersive experience that highlights the role of the Landhaus as a central institution in the city’s democratic life.
