What does a holiday that everyone can truly enjoy look like?
This question was addressed at the latest transnational meeting of the Interreg project PLACES – Promoting Landscape, Accessibility and Culture for Experiential and Sustainable Tourism in Kärnten.

Together with project partners from Italy and Austria, new approaches to accessible and inclusive tourism were discussed – with the aim of making sustainable nature and cultural experiences accessible to all.
Kärnten as host and catalyst
The meeting took place in Klagenfurt at the invitation of the kärnten.museum and Kärnten Werbung. In addition to professional exchanges, the programme included inspiring best practices: for example, the barrier-free Pyramidenkogel, the Skywalk and the Dobratsch geological nature trail – all certified by ÖZIV.
These examples show how accessibility in Carinthia is not just a concept, but a way of life.
The goal: to make Carinthia’s nature and cultural experiences accessible and bookable for everyone – networked, sustainable and inclusive.
